The Forest Lodge Library has finally reached the moment it’s been working toward for so many years — it’s time to start building the new library facility!
At the end of June 2025, Jerome Excavating started us off. It was great to see and be able to walk around the exterior outline of the new building via the stakes
that were placed in the ground that outlined where the building walls and overhang would be.
On Saturday, June 28th, over 100 people gathered at the site to have the Ground Breaking Ceremony. To view the slideshow video, go HERE.
In early July, more work was done on the site and we received our land use permit. Jerome Excavating got to work filling in the basement of the former Bookhouse, in preparation for the new building construction.
Mid-July brought J&H Concrete to the site to pour footings. Wall aprons also went up around this time as well.
More and more work is being done each day, crews are busy! It’s exciting to see the progress. More updates to come as the building comes further along. Stop by to see the progress for yourself.
