In Library Services

Library staff are here to help you make the most of our services. Whether you’re searching for materials, placing a hold, requesting items through interlibrary loan, or looking for your next great read, we’re happy to assist.

Our library is committed to serving the community by providing guidance and support to all patrons, offering engaging programs for children and adults, collaborating with local organizations and libraries across NWLS, and ensuring inclusive services for individuals with special needs. We strive to offer convenient hours and accessible resources that meet the needs of our community.

If you have questions or need assistance, please visit the circulation desk—we’re always glad to help.

Print, Copy, Scan, Fax

The Forest Lodge Library has a copier available for public use which prints both black & white and color copies.

Payment should be given to the circulation desk librarian. Patrons should make only authorized copies of copyrighted data. Patrons are responsible for all copies made unless the copier/printer made the mistake.

Please use print preview to view your document before you print so that you do not make copies you do not want (you still have to pay for them even if they weren’t necessary). Ask a librarian or volunteer for help with printing
if you are unsure which pages you would like to print.

The copier is networked to all public use computers and serves as the printer as well. You must ask a staff member for assistance with color printing.

Outgoing FAX service is currently available at $1.00 per page. Please ask a librarian for assistance.

Use of computers is available on a first-come, first-served basis. However, to ensure free access for all, library staff reserves the right to set a 45-minute time limit on computer use sessions. Guest library cards are available to use for computer use only.

In-Library Catalog Access

A computer specific for our Online Public Access Catalog – our online card catalog – for patrons to browse for materials from not only our library but throughout the Northern Waters Library System, as well as the Wisconsin Catalog (WISCAT).

WiFi (24/7)

The library provides unfiltered wireless Internet access to library patrons. WiFi is available 24/7 inside the building and outside in the parking lot or patio. There is no password required— simply connect to the “public library” network. You will be asked to check a box to indicate ‘I accept terms and conditions’ and click ‘connect’ button. This refreshes at the end of each day.

Please read the library’s Computer and Internet Use Policy.
